Are your breads & cakes nut free?

We are NOT a nut free bakery. We use Walnuts, Pecans and Almonds in some of our products and while we try and keep the possibility of cross contamination to a minimum we would not declare any line to be "nut free".

Are your loaves and cakes suitable with Coeliacs

THE NATURAL FOODS BAKERY

All The Natural Foods Bakery loaves, bagels, and cakes are 100% gluten-free , as they use Almond and/or coconut flour instead of traditional grains like wheat, rye, and barley. Thus, they are suitable options for anyone suffering from Celiac disease and those who struggle with gluten, wheat or any other grain intolerances.

EVERFRESH NATURAL FOODS

Strictly speaking, all of Everfresh Natural Food's sprouted breads and cakes contain gluten and, as such, should not be eaten by Coeliac sufferers or people who know they suffer from Gluten intolerance without first seeking medical advice.

Many people with milder gluten intolerances and allergies tell us that they find Everfresh's breads and cakes acceptable. We believe this is due to how the chemicals in grains are broken down during the sprouting process, which prevents them from triggering many allergies often associated with modern bread and processed foods.

Your loaves taste really sweet... do they really contain no added sugar?

That is correct. The sweetness of the sprouted breads comes from the natural sprouting process. Amounts of natural sugars produced in this way may vary from crop to crop and the speed at which the seed sprouts. Where we do add a sweetener, in the cakes for example, we use only organic apple juice concentrate or natural fruit to provide the sweetness. In fact we do not have any sugar on site.

Do any of your cakes or loaves contain dairy, meat / animal products or eggs?

All our products are suitable vegans except The Natural Foods Bakery's Blondie Loaf as it contains eggs.

Otherwise We use no added sugar, animal, fats or dairy products.

Are your cakes, breads and loaves suitable for a raw diet?

No - We bake our breads and cakes at normal bread baking temperatures so none of our products are suited to this form of diet.

Are your breads and cakes suitable for Vegans?

YES... with one exception. The Blondie loaf from The Natural Food Company uses eggs in its ingredients. Otherwise we don't use any dairy or animal products in any of our breads and cakes.

How long will your cakes, loaves, breads & bagels last for?

Everfresh Natural Food Products

Long Shelf Life

Everfresh Natural Foods' long shelf life is not due to adding preservatives but to a clever combination of pasteurisation and packaging. In addition, all of their products can be frozen.

Storage

Store Everfresh Natural Food products in a cool, dark and dry space until you're ready to consume them. Once opened, they should be stored in an airtight container, preferably in the fridge, and used within 2-3 days. Please check the 'Best Before Date' before storing our products.

Top Tip

Some of our customers like to slice the everfresh loaves/cakes and freeze the slices for use as required, taking slices straight from the freezer and toasting them as needed.
